Excited?State 2,3?Dichloro?5,6?dicyano?1,4?benzoquinone (DDQ*) Initiated Organic Synthetic Transformations under Visible?Light Irradiation

چکیده

The one-electron oxidizing capacity of 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ) improves significantly by visible-light excitation. exited-state DDQ (DDQ*) even converts benzene, fluoroarenes, heteroarenes, benzyls, and olefins into their corresponding radical cations as well chloride other anions radicals. These reactive intermediates have been utilized for the generation C?C C?X (N, O, or Cl) bonds in synthesis valuable organic compounds natural products. This mini review provides an overview such DDQ*-initiated transformations with scope limitations discusses proposed reactions mechanisms.

We report the study of the resistance of archetypal MOFs (MILs, HKUST-1, UiO-66, and ZIF-8) under gamma irradiation. The different porous solids were irradiated with doses up to 1.75 MGy. All the MOFs constructed with transition metals (Cu2+, Zn2+, Zr4+) exhibit an evident destruction of the framework, whereas the compounds constructed with aluminium remain intact.
